Introducing the SP5014 series – a self-propelled, four-wheeled unit designed for efficient cutting power in hard-to-reach areas. This machine features a unique dual-speed ground system, allowing it to travel faster than any other stump cutter available in the market.
With a 21-inch diameter cutting wheel that is 1 1/4-inch thick, the SP5014 can grind stumps faster and smoother than ever before. Its heavy-duty construction weighing 1,650 pounds, hydraulic steering and four-wheel stance, offer unparalleled stability and manoeuvrability.
This compact machine has a width of 35 inches, allowing it to easily fit through standard backyard gates. The SP5014 incorporates many of the features found in larger J.P. Carlton models, including direct drive hydraulic pump, hardened bushings and shafts, and counter balance valves on the lift, swing, and hydraulic drive circuits.
The SP5014 series is available with a variety of engine options, including a 27-horsepower Kohler engine and 35-horsepower Vanguard. With its wide range of features and dependable construction, the SP5014 is designed to maximise production and profits while minimising downtime.
Other notable features of the SP5014 series include a large 21-inch diameter and 1 1/4-inch thick cutter wheel for maximum cutting power and flywheel momentum. Feather-touch hydraulic controls allow for easy operation and optimum user control. Tapered roller bearings on the jack shaft and cutter wheel provide long service life and reduced maintenance. The machine is equipped with a proprietary dual motor ground drive, which eliminates troublesome chains, axles, and axle bearings. It also comes with optional dual wheels that are quickly removed, 4-wheel drive, and a hydraulic backfill blade to assist with the clean-up.
This is the Carlton machine designed for Europe with a width of only 35″ (889mm), making it narrow enough to go through most doors and gates for those hard-to-reach areas. It comes with a 37hp Kohler engine that meets stage 5 European compliance. The Carlton Stump Grinder comes with a remote control as standard for safer and better working conditions.
With dual wheels that widen the machine to 45″ (1150mm), this gives the machine tremendous stability in sloped or unstable ground. The hydraulically controlled blade, which works off of the remote, allows you to level out the grindings for a happy customer. This also adds to the stability.
The Razor Wheel setup allows for a very efficient cutting system, which allows for less fuel to be burned and saves time on each stump.
